1. How did you hear about the bus? What made you want to get onboard?

I heard from a colleague about the bus. I wanted to be on it to contribute the business side of creating solutions to local problems using technology.

2.What are you hoping to get out of this trip? What are your expectations?

I’m looking forward to solving difficult and important problems, contributing to a team and ultimately, community via our solution. Networking for future business relationships, appreciating the work of other Southern African incubators and having a ridiculous amount of fun!

3. Why will connectivity be so important on the bus?

Connectivity is life as we live it now. If you’re not connected…you’re digitally dead. Connectivity is a guarantee of access.

4.What are the three things that motivate you?

Purpose, poverty alleviation, progress! And tech makes all that much easier.

5. What’s the most exciting/proudest/interesting thing you’ve done to date?

This year I was very proud to see two start-ups, whose co-founders I trained under my financial education company, receive recognition at regional, national and international platforms. Great to see them in purpose, making progress and certainly escaping poverty! One is a pure tech solution that’s scalable in developing countries, the other is pure production and they are using tech to link to markets. This is the power of the financial literacy and technology combination.

6. What next? What are your plans? (Do you have any future ventures/ideas/projects you’re working on?)

Two things. I’m working on a financial literacy platform that crowd-sources personal finance and startup basics information. (Hope to meet contacts on the bus to refine it in the future). I am also looking into establishing an active space for incubating young people’s enterprises – especially young women.

KUDZAI IS PARTICIPATING ON THE AMPION VENTURE BUS.
